De omgeving

In de omgeving van Hazyview hoef je je niet te vervelen. Behalve de fantastische natuur is er veel te zien en te doen. Hier zijn alvast een paar tips:

Het Kruger Nationaal Park

Dit wereldberoemde Park biedt de mogelijkheid om met eigen auto op safari te gaan. Het park is bijna zo groot als Nederland en heeft meerdere entrees. De Phabeni Gate ligt op slechts 12 km vanaf het chalet en is eenvoudig en snel over een verharde weg te bereiken.

De Panorama route

Dit is een van de mooiste routes in Zuid Afrika die je per auto (per fiets of te voet) kunt volgen. Onderweg kom je allerlei bijzondere plekken tegen zoals:

‘Blyde River Canyon’ met de ‘Three Rondavels’

‘God’s Window’

‘Bourke’s Luck Potholes’

Watervallen: Lisbon Falls, Berlyn Falls, Mac Mac Falls

Via het Internet kun je meer informatie over deze Panorama route verkrijgen. De lokale ‘VVV’ / Tourist Office in Hazyview kan je ook de nodige informatie en plattegronden geven.
Ook de tourist-desk in de receptie van Kruger Park Lodge is zeer behulpzaam bij het verstrekken van informatie.

In Hazyview zelf zijn er behalve supermarkten en gezellige winkeltjes ook een paar leuke en gezellige restaurantjes te vinden. Iets buiten Hazyview zijn verschillende lodges met goede restaurants , zoals Summerfields en Casa do Sol. Deze laatste heeft ook een eigen wildpark waar je veilig te voet of op een mountain bike doorheen kan.

Voor de actieve reiziger is er ook veel te doen. Vanuit Graskop zijn er verschillende hikes (wandelingen) mogelijk (zie foto's). In de regio kun je mountainbiken en quadbiken. De Sabie Rivier leent zich uitstekend voor white water rafting, tubing en geckoing. Meer informatie over deze en andere outdooractiviteiten kun je op: www.sabierriveradventures.co.za vinden.

U vindt nog 6 Golf courses binnen 30 minuten van het Park. Zoek via Google: Golf Courses in Mpumalanga of laat u informeren bij de touristdesk in de receptie.

The surroundings

You don’t have to get bored whilst you’re in the surroundings of Hazyview. Besides the fabulous nature, there’s a lot to see and lots to do. Here are some tips:

The Kruger National Park

This is a very famous National park and offers you the opportunity to go on safari in your own car. The park is enormous  (almost the size of Holland!) and has several entrances.
The Phabeni gate (entrance) is only 12 km from the chalet, so the park is quick and easily accessible vis a tar road..

The Panorama route

This is one of the prettiest car-routes in South Africa. Along this route you’ll find stunning views and incredible scenery, such as:

‘Bourke’s Luck Potholes’

Besides supermarkets you’ll find quite some lovely and good restaurants in Hazyview. Also just outside Hazyview there are a number of lodges that have restaurants as well. An example is Summerfields and Casa do Sol, which even has its own game park, where you can wander around by foot or mountain bike.

For the adventurous and active traveler there is also a lot to do. From Graskop there are several great hikes and in the region you can do mountain bike trips and tour on all terrain quad bikes.
